Trade Northern Ontario

The Northwestern Ontario Development Network was founded as an informal group in 1988 by Economic Development Officers from eight member communities in Northwestern Ontario.  Formally incorporated in April of 1991, today the Northwestern Ontario Development Network is a leading, inclusive economic development organization working with and supporting members and partners to develop and grow in Northwestern Ontario.

With the financial assistance from Industry Canada/FedNor, membership revenues and projects, the Network has been able to help the communities of Northwestern Ontario take control of their own economic planning and exercise bottom-up decision-making.  The Network encourages dialogue and information sharing between partners in our communities and across the region.

Trade Northern Ontario is a program dedicated to supporting and expanding export and trade excellence for the Northern Ontario regional economy.
